Description: |
To kick-off Bristol Pride Online which takes place from 1-12 September, we hosted this year's Sing Out for Pride Fundraiser online. 90 minutes of quality entertainment from five LGBT+ musical acts:
Bristol's newest choir, were due to make their performance debut at the cancelled St Georges event, Sing Out For Bristol Pride 2020 back in July; so it's only fitting that we showcased their beautiful lockdown videos as part of this event
The super talented Bashema has been a valued member of Sing Out Bristol for many years now and during that time, Bashema, the solo artist has continued to flourish, appearing at numerous festivals and events and released her own material online. Bashema recorded a special Pride themed medley of cover versions especially for Sing Out For Bristol Pride.
Gena is another amazing talent we are lucky to have as a member of Sing Out Bristol. She is also a successful songwriter and recording artist under the stage name Orgena Rose. Gena kindly recorded exclusive videos of two of her most popular songs, just for us and there is also a chance to experience her haunting solo in Sing Out Bristol's version of They Won't Go When I Go, from our Icons concert, last year.
Our friends South Wales Gay Mens Chorus have grown in reputation in stature in the 10 years they have been together. Despite being a relatively small choir, they produce one of the most beautiful sounds imaginable for an all male voice choir. You can relive some of the highlights from their performance at our own 10th anniversary concert, in 2018.
Oh, and there's also this litte merry band of singers. Highlights from our X-10 Years Of Sing Out Bristol concert at St Georges, in 2018.
This event will be available on the Sing Out Bristol YouTube channel for the duration of Bristol Virtual Pride (until September 13th):
